Types of Tile Adhesives
Cement-Based (C1 & C2)
- C1 Standard: For interior floor and wall tiles on cementitious substrates
- C2 Improved: Higher bond strength for larger tiles, exterior use, and demanding applications
Polymer-Modified
Enhanced with polymers for:
- Greater flexibility and deformation resistance
- Better adhesion on difficult substrates
- Suitable for tile-on-tile and low-absorption tiles
Epoxy-Based
Two-component systems offering:
- Chemical resistance for industrial areas
- Waterproof bonding for swimming pools

Application Best Practices
- Surface Preparation: Ensure substrate is clean, sound, and free from contaminants
- Mixing: Follow manufacturer's water-to-powder ratio precisely
- Notched Trowel: Select the correct notch size for tile dimensions
- Back-buttering: Apply a thin layer on the tile back for tiles larger than 300x300mm
- Grouting: Wait for adhesive to cure before grouting (typically 24 hours)
